Norton Drive-In       Pastel      17" x 13"

This abandoned drive-in movie screen in Norton, Vermont had been enlarged during the '50s to accommodate the new Cinemascope films. To me, the added-on "wings" gave it an extraterrestrial look. While I was sketching this, locals stopped by to salvage corrugated tin, wacking away at the structure with hammers. Fortunately, the impending rain stayed just to the north, in the Canadian foothills.
